Greetings in the Precious Name of
Jesus:
We all
know what it feels like to be pushed to the wall financially, things happen to
reduce the nest egg we had planned for something else. That “pot of gold” is
buying a new roof or another necessity. What if you don’t even have a cushion?
This is
where we are, right where the rubber meets the road. We’re Teamwork USA
supporting Menzie Oban and his God given dream to help educate Jamaica’s
children. As you may know vehicles take a beating in this third world country as
drivers coach their vans, cars, buses to the limit climbing steep mountains
picking up children and depositing them at the school’s door.
Most of
Jamaica’s mountainous roads are not paved and some go straight up, I know many
cars wouldn’t sustain that treatment day after day. Unfortunately, neither
could the mission’s 15-seat van that’s 10 years old. It finally blew its
engine. Now the mission is having to take money that’s earmarked for other
things to pay commercial drivers to pick up the children. We’ve all been
without a car at some time in our lives, we know the dreadful inconvenience, but
usually it’s only a few days or a week to fix it. The 15-seat van is broken
down on the mountainside at the mission with no funds to fix it.
We need
you help…We also know that our own funds have suffered crisis as the entire
world is going through a recession. For most of us, it just means that we
“tighten our belt” and we will go on. For the mission, it’s like us having to
take a taxi everywhere we used to drive ourselves. It won’t be long before we
are in serious financial difficulty. The mission must go on… children must be
transported, errands must be run.
If you
are reading this letter, you are one of the hundreds that have encountered
Teamwork Jamaica. You have either been on a mission trip to assist the Centre
or know us from those that have. Please don’t throw this letter away, sit down
right now and ask God what would He have you do? Dig deep, please, I implore
you. God has me writing to you. I believe He may inspire you to write a
check. Our Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills… we are so blessed in
this country. Teamwork USA is looking for a new van or a new engine, both
of which are expensive and need to be shipped to Jamaica. Perhaps you
have the where-with-all to buy the engine, we estimate it to be $10,000. US
dollars. The van in question was a gift from someone in the USA, God provides
miracles everyday. Won’t you be a miracle to those children & Teamwork Jamaica?

Remember this: “Whoever
sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also
reap generously. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
